On February 11, 2025, Rep. Levin expressed concerns about potential cuts to medical research funding by the new administration. He warned of the dire consequences such reductions could have on public health: "The new administration wants to gut funding for life-saving medical research, and if they succeed, it will have a catastrophic impact. We must not let this happen. Lives are on the line."
In another update posted on February 12, 2025, Levin thanked constituents for participating in his telephone town hall event. Levin called for greater efficiency and transparency across all levels of government while specifically mentioning Elon Musk and DOGE: "If we want efficiency and transparency in government, then we need it in ALL of government...The public should not be kept in the dark about what Elon and DOGE are up to."
