Congressman Raul Ruiz, M.D., currently representing California's 25th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently taken to social media to express his views on political and personal matters. Through a series of tweets, he shared his perspective on budgetary issues and veteran affairs while also celebrating a personal milestone.

On February 13, 2025, Congressman Ruiz criticized what he described as deceptive budgeting practices by certain members of the House of Representatives. He stated that "Extreme House Republicans are at it again with their latest bait-and-switch budget," alleging that while they claim to address fraud, waste, and abuse, their plan actually "slashes food assistance like SNAP," which he argues will make it more difficult for families to secure meals.

The following day, February 14, 2025, Congressman Ruiz reiterated his support for veterans in response to actions taken during President Trump's administration. He noted that "I have always stood up for veterans" and criticized Trump's hiring freeze and funding freeze as measures that could result in staffing cuts and delays in accessing benefits and healthcare for veterans.

Later on Valentine's Day, Congressman Ruiz shared a personal message expressing affection towards his family. He tweeted "Happy Valentine’s Day to my forever Valentine!" mentioning his wife Monica and daughters Sage and Sky. He extended wishes for a wonderful Valentine's Day to all.
