Rep. Mike Levin, currently serving California's 49th district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of tweets addressing pressing issues ranging from climate change to veterans' healthcare and upcoming congressional plans.

On December 11, 2024, Rep. Levin highlighted concerns about extreme weather events linked to climate change. He noted that such conditions could lead to more frequent power outages in Southern California and urged constituents to remain informed and prepared with emergency supplies. "As extreme weather becomes more frequent due to climate change, we may see more power outages like those seen now throughout Southern California."

The following day, on December 12, 2024, Rep. Levin expressed his apprehensions regarding potential policy changes under the incoming Trump Administration. He criticized the proposed shift of veterans' healthcare services to the private sector, warning that it could financially cripple the system and harm essential programs for veterans. "The incoming Trump Administration is already weighing cuts to VA health care."

Later on December 12, Rep. Levin announced an upcoming virtual town hall scheduled for December 18 at 5 PM. He invited constituents to participate by submitting questions in advance via email and expressed enthusiasm about discussing his legislative plans for the new Congress. "I will be hosting a virtual town hall on Wednesday, December 18 at 5pm."
