Rep. Mike Levin, serving California’s 49th district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, recently shared a series of tweets addressing various community and environmental issues. Levin, who was born in Inglewood, California in 1978 and holds degrees from Stanford University and Duke University, is known for his focus on sustainability and public welfare.
On November 25, Rep. Mike Levin highlighted the opening of Greenbrier Village, a supportive housing community in Oceanside aimed at providing stability to low-income individuals and those experiencing homelessness. He expressed gratitude towards the organizations involved for their efforts in offering essential support: "Greenbrier Village is a new supportive housing community in Oceanside for low-income individuals and those experiencing homelessness. I thank the organizations involved for the incredible work they do to provide stability and support to those who need it most."
The following day, on November 26, Levin addressed environmental concerns impacting coastal communities due to plastic pollution. He applauded the Environmental Protection Agency's initiatives to combat this issue: "In our coastal communities, we see the impact of harmful plastic pollution on a regular basis. Everyone deserves clean water and pollution-free communities. I’m glad to see @EPA taking steps to end plastic pollution."
Later that same day, Levin reminded travelers about new regulations designed to protect them against airline delays and cancellations during Thanksgiving travel: "If you plan on traveling for Thanksgiving, don’t forget that there are new rules to protect you and hold airlines accountable for delays and cancellations."
