Rep. Mike Levin, currently serving California’s 49th district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of tweets expressing concerns about proposed Medicaid cuts and his involvement in legal actions against the Trump Administration. Levin, who has been a member of Congress since 2019, highlighted issues that could arise from these policy changes and emphasized his role within the House Democrats' Litigation Task Force.

On March 19, 2025, Rep. Levin tweeted about potential cuts to Medicaid by Congressional Republicans: "Congressional Republicans want to cut $880 billion from Medicaid. It would mean fewer doctors taking Medicaid patients, longer wait times at hospitals, health care worker layoffs, and nursing homes and community clinics shutting down, all to give tax breaks to billionaires."

Later that day on March 19, he stated his position regarding ongoing legal challenges involving the Trump Administration: "As a member of the House Democrats’ Litigation Task Force, I’m supporting the legal fights to push back against the Trump Administration in the courts, and we’re winning."

In another tweet posted on March 20, Rep. Levin reiterated his concerns over Republican-led efforts to cut Medicaid funding: "House Republicans want to drastically cut Medicaid. If that happens, some nursing homes could shut down, and millions of Americans will lose the health coverage they rely on." He also invited readers to listen to a constituent's personal story regarding these potential impacts.
