On December 5, 2024, Congressman Ruiz posted on social media: " Exciting news! The House just passed my bill to designate the @CityOfBrawley Post Office in honor of Walter Francis Ulloa."
In a subsequent update on the same day, he elaborated on Ulloa's contributions: "Walter Ulloa was a pioneer in Spanish-language media and a champion for the Latino community. This recognition celebrates his impact on Brawley and communities nationwide. Next stop: the Senate, stay tuned!"
The following day, December 6, 2024, Ruiz highlighted another initiative involving veterans' advocacy. He wrote: "Check out this Q&A video with Karolina Leon Ponce, a veteran and advocate for #ImperialValley veterans!
