OCEANSIDE, CA – Assemblywoman Laurie Davies hosted a ceremony today to honor first responders who work to ensure community safety.
Honorees included 911 dispatchers, law enforcement agencies, fire departments, crisis response organizations, and residents from Camp Pendleton, Vista, Oceanside, and Fallbrook.
“Bravery is what distinguishes first responders from the rest of us. As we leave danger, they run towards it. When we retreat, they stand on the front lines. It’s important to honor and thank the men and women who put it all on the line and protect our communities,“ said Assemblywoman Davies (R-Orange County).
First responders make sacrifices for the community daily without hesitation. Whether responding to accidents and crime or a pandemic like COVID-19, their service does not go unnoticed.
