Representative Mike Levin, who has been serving California's 49th District in the U.S. Congress since 2019, expressed concerns on social media about proposed changes to Social Security and other government programs. Levin, a graduate of Stanford University and Duke University School of Law, took to Twitter to voice his opposition to these potential policy shifts.

On March 20, 2025, Levin posted a tweet criticizing Elon Musk's approach to Social Security. He stated, "Elon is trying to bend Social Security until it breaks. This time, he wants to make it harder to file claims and ultimately limit the number of Americans who can access their earned benefits. Here’s my message to Elon: Stay the hell away from Social Security."

Later that day, at 2:55 AM UTC, Levin commented on changes related to disability claims with a tweet stating "DOGE (aka Destruction of Government by Elon) is now making it harder to file for disability."

In another tweet on March 20, 2025, at 2:32 PM UTC, Levin referenced efforts by the Trump Administration regarding government program cuts. He shared a unique visual representation saying "To help keep track of all the programs the Trump Administration wants to cut, I figured there was no better format than a bracket. Here’s mine."
