Congressman Raul Ruiz, M.D., currently serving California’s 25th district in the U.S. Congress, shared several updates via social media highlighting his office's efforts to assist constituents with federal agencies and a personal reflection on fatherhood.

On March 8, 2025, Congressman Ruiz reported assisting Ramon from El Centro with Social Security Disability Insurance issues. "Ramon, from El Centro, reached out to my office because he needed assistance getting the retroactive benefits owed to him from Social Security Disability Insurance. He contacted the Social Security Administration about his issue several times and received no results."

The following day, March 9, 2025, Congressman Ruiz shared another success story involving Hattie from Desert Hot Springs. "With the help of my office’s congressional casework services, Hattie, from Desert Hot Springs, was able to access the $46,900 owed to her from the Veterans Administration for her service in the U.S. Marine Corp in the 1980s." The VA had sent her a check made out in her maiden name.

On March 10, 2025, Congressman Ruiz reflected on fatherhood through an observation of nature. "As a dad, there’s nothing quite like the moment your little ones enter the world. Watching Jackie and Shadow’s eaglets hatch reminds me of the love and responsibility that comes with fatherhood." He expressed admiration for bald eagle mama Jackie and all mothers.
