Rep. Mike Levin shares legislative updates and honors historical events

Rep. Mike Levin, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 49th district since 2019, shared updates on his recent activities in Washington D.C. through a series of tweets. Born in Inglewood, California, Levin has been actively involved in legislative matters and community recognition efforts.

On December 7, 2024, Rep. Levin tweeted about his initiatives over the week: "Here’s what I’ve been working on this week in D.C.: Naming the Downtown Oceanside post office after Charlesetta Reece Allen Recognizing the new Oceanside Police Chief Celebrating veterans’ achievements with the American Legion".

Later that day, he commemorated Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day with a tweet honoring service members: "On Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, we honor the service members who bravely defended our nation and made the ultimate sacrifice fighting for freedom. We remember their courage and resilience on one of America’s darkest days."

In another tweet posted on December 7, 2024, Rep. Levin highlighted developments in U.S. solar manufacturing: "U.S. solar manufacturing is booming. This is great for our planet, our pocket books & our communities—both red and blue. And here’s more we can do, like building more electricity transmission infrastructure, to ensure we can build new clean energy development around the country."
