Sacramento – Assemblymember Laurie Davies has been appointed as the Vice-Chair of the Assembly Committee on Transportation. In a statement, Davies expressed her enthusiasm for the new role, stating, "I am honored to be named as Vice-Chair of this Committee and look forward to working with my colleagues on passing meaningful reforms to streamline transportation infrastructure improvement projects."
Davies highlighted the unique transportation challenges in her region, stating, "Our region is home to many unique types of transportation challenges and needs." She emphasized her commitment to addressing specific issues, saying, "I will make it my priority to advocate for improving and finally fixing the LOSSAN Rail line as well as addressing the ongoing issues with Highway 78."
Moreover, Davies assured the public of her dedication to fiscal responsibility, declaring, "Furthermore, I will ensure tax-payer dollars are used and spent appropriately."
Assemblywoman Laurie Davies represents the 74th Assembly District, encompassing various communities in southern Orange County and northern San Diego County, including Dana Point, Laguna Niguel, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, and Vista.
