The median sale price of a home sold in 2025 in San Diego County rose by $20,000, while total sales increased by 18.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

Throughout 2025, 8,271 homes were sold in the county, with a median sale price of $915,000. This is a 2.2% increase over the $895,000 median sale price during the same period in 2024, when there were 6,990 homes sold.

Based on the latest available data from 2024, the median property tax in San Diego County was $5,862, which stands at 0.6% of the median home sale price for 2025.

U.S. home prices continued to rise in 2025, with the national median reaching about $447,000 in June. That’s up 1.13% from a year earlier, according to Redfin. The data also show a significant gap in supply and demand, with 36% more sellers than buyers (a difference of 508,715 homes). By Redfin’s definition, a balanced market has seller and buyer numbers within 10% of each other.
