Congressman Raul Ruiz, M.D., representing California’s 25th district, has recently shared insights through a series of tweets regarding political events and issues. In his tweet “A powerful town hall in Rancho Mirage!”, he emphasized listening directly to constituents about their priorities.
In a subsequent post on May 7, Ruiz announced his participation with the Democratic Doctors Caucus to oppose proposed Republican reductions to Medicaid funding. He invited followers to join him live as they addressed concerns over plans to cut $880 billion from Medicaid. As he stated “I’m going live with the Democratic Doctors Caucus…”.
Further discussing health care implications on May 8, Congressman Ruiz highlighted findings from a Congressional Budget Office report which supports his previous assertions about the impact of an extreme Republican budget proposal.
