Rep. Mike Levin, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 49th district since 2019, has expressed concern on social media regarding a recent enforcement operation that took place along a designated “safe route to school.” In a post dated August 20, 2025, Levin wrote, “As more information has continued to emerge, I remain concerned about this enforcement operation.
This happened along a designated ‘safe route to school’ with students and parents witnessing.

On August 21, 2025, Levin posted another message reiterating his views on national priorities: “To remain a leader on the global stage, America needs a skilled workforce and strong investment in research and development.
Protecting innovation here at home must be a national priority.”

Levin has served as the representative for California’s 49th District since replacing Darrell Issa in 2019. He was born in Inglewood, California in 1978 and currently resides in San Juan Capistrano. Levin holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Duke University (JD).
