Rep. Mike Levin, who represents California’s 49th district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to address military service members and veterans, as well as comment on a matter he described as urgent regarding the release of files.
On November 10, 2025, Levin posted a message recognizing the United States Marine Corps’ anniversary: “Happy 250th Birthday, Marines! Thank you to all of you who have worn the Eagle, Globe and Anchor, and to those who continue to serve, for your sacrifice, strength, and commitment to protecting our freedoms.”
The following day, November 11—Veterans Day—Levin addressed veterans directly: “To our country’s veterans: thank you for your service. You stepped forward when others could not or would not. You trained, you deployed, you missed birthdays and holidays, and you carried responsibilities most Americans never have to carry. That matters. Today, we honor you.”
On November 12, Levin commented on an unspecified issue by stating: “Absolutely damning. Release the files. Nobody is above the law.”
Levin has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Darrell Issa as representative for California’s 49th district. He was born in Inglewood in 1978 and currently resides in San Juan Capistrano. Levin holds a BA from Stanford University (2001) and a JD from Duke University (2005).
