Rep. Mike Levin, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 49th district since 2019, posted a series of updates on social media highlighting his ongoing efforts in health care, homelessness support, and public transportation in his district.
On October 8, 2025, Levin emphasized his commitment to health care access, stating, “This fight is about protecting affordable health care for millions of Americans. We will not back down.”
The following day, on October 9, 2025, Levin shared details from a recent visit to the Oceanside Navigation Center alongside Mayor Esther Sanchez. He wrote, “Visited the Oceanside Navigation Center earlier this week with Mayor Esther Sanchez. The shelter houses 50-75 people, helping them get back on their feet and into permanent housing. Proud to have delivered $2.25 million in federal funding to support this project.”
Later that same day, Levin addressed the importance of public transportation for his constituents: “Reliable, safe, and accessible public transportation is essential to connect our community. @goOCTA is seeking feedback on their vision to improve Orange County’s transportation system. Levin has served as the representative for California’s 49th District since succeeding Darrell Issa in 2019 and resides in San Juan Capistrano. Born in Inglewood in 1978, he holds degrees from Stanford University and Duke University.
