Rep. Mike Levin, who represents California’s 49th district in the U.S. Congress, addressed recent legislative developments in a series of posts on July 16, 2025.
In an early morning post, Levin stated, “It’s not about ideology – it’s about economic competitiveness. The latest funding bill is a step backward on national security and energy resilience.” (July 16, 2025).
Later that day, Levin commented on ongoing debates over immigration policy: “This isn’t about left or right — it’s about whether we still have the will to lead with both strength and compassion. The Dignity Act isn’t perfect, but it’s a meaningful, good faith step forward towards both security and humanity.” (July 16, 2025).
