Rep. Mike Levin, who has represented California’s 49th district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, addressed several key policy issues in a series of recent posts on social media. Later that day, he discussed immigration policy. In a post dated July 15, 2025, Levin wrote “Our immigration system requires both security and humanity. I support deporting violent criminals, but we can’t sacrifice basic legal standards in the process.”
On July 16, 2025, Levin further addressed border security and legislative efforts to reform immigration law. He stated “We can prioritize both security and humanity at our southern border. I’m proud to join my colleagues in reintroducing the bipartisan Dignity Act – a serious first step in fixing our country’s broken immigration system.”
Levin succeeded Darrell Issa as representative for California’s 49th district in 2019.
