Rep. Mike Levin, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 49th district since 2019, recently posted a series of tweets addressing judicial decisions related to former President Donald Trump, the financial impact of Supreme Court rulings on taxpayers, and international energy markets.

On March 9, 2026, Levin commented on the release of Special Counsel reports: “#ICYMI: A Trump-appointed judge permanently blocked the American people from seeing the Special Counsel report on how Donald Trump handled classified documents. Her reason: it wouldn’t be fair to him. Every Special Counsel report in modern history has been handed to https://t.co/pV21lReAa1”.

Later that day, Levin addressed tax issues involving Trump and their effect on American families: “Trump illegally taxed you. The Supreme Court said so. And it cost American families $1,000 last year. Now, he’s refusing to pay out the refund. And guess what? It’s costing you, the American taxpayer, another $700 MILLION a month just in interest. That’s $23 MILLION a day! He”.

On March 10, 2026, Levin discussed global energy dynamics amid U.S.-Iran tensions: “While Trump’s strikes on Iran are sending oil markets into chaos, China is cashing in. China has spent years building a clean energy economy precisely to insulate itself from moments like this. They are looking at clean energy as the most important economic and national”.

Levin was born in Inglewood, California in 1978 and currently resides in San Juan Capistrano. He holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Duke University (JD). Since replacing Darrell Issa in Congress in 2019, Levin has focused on issues including transparency in government investigations and economic policy impacts for constituents.
