Rep. Mike Levin, who represents California’s 49th district in the U.S. Congress, has used his social media platform to criticize recent actions by the Trump Administration and Republican budget proposals.
On August 12, 2025, Levin posted on X: “Let the record show that the Trump Administration is all too willing to let polluters off the hook for exposing our communities to hazardous waste.” He also commented on an analysis by the Congressional Budget Office earlier that day, stating: “.@USCBO ’s latest report once again says what we already know—Republicans’ budget favors the richest and leaves everyone else behind. While low-income families will see $1200 LESS per year, the wealthiest will see $13,600 MORE per year.”
