Rep. Mike Levin, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 49th district since 2019, posted a series of statements on November 13, 2025, expressing his opposition to recent legislative actions regarding health care and energy policy.

In one post, Levin stated: “Today is not the end of our fight to stop skyrocketing health care costs. We cannot leave American families to struggle. I will always fight for more affordable health care.” (November 13, 2025)

He further criticized the bill passed that evening, writing: “The American people deserve better than the bill that passed tonight. They deserve a bill that both reopens the government and ensures they can afford to see their doctor. But Speaker Johnson never so much as allowed a vote on legislation to extend the premium tax credits, and he” (November 13, 2025)

Levin also addressed concerns about energy prices and support for Affordable Care Act premium tax credits: “He’s driving up electricity prices by ending support for projects that will produce cheap energy. And he has come up with every excuse in the book to oppose the extension of the Affordable Care Act premium tax credits.” (November 13, 2025)

Levin has represented California’s coastal 49th district since replacing Darrell Issa in Congress in 2019. Born in Inglewood in 1978 and currently residing in San Juan Capistrano, Levin holds degrees from Stanford University and Duke University.
