Rep. Mike Levin, who represents California’s 49th district in the U.S. Congress, posted on July 22, 2025, about recent Republican actions that he says will impact health care costs for San Diegans.
On July 22, 2025, Levin wrote: “Republicans just voted to drive up health care costs for over 90,000 San Diegans. Starting January, premiums will soar nearly $8,000 a year and thousands will lose their coverage. This is a direct threat to our community’s health and I’m fighting to stop it.”

Mike Levin has represented California’s 49th District since 2019 after succeeding Darrell Issa. He was born in Inglewood, California in 1978 and currently resides in San Juan Capistrano. Levin graduated from Stanford University with a BA in 2001 and earned his JD from Duke University in 2005.
