Rep. Mike Levin, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 49th district since 2019, recently expressed his views on various political issues through social media posts. Born in Inglewood, California in 1978, Levin has a background in law and currently resides in San Juan Capistrano.
On May 13, 2025, Rep. Levin addressed a healthcare proposal by House Republicans, stating “House Republicans want to strip 8.6 million people of their health care to pay for more tax breaks for billionaires like Elon Musk.” He questioned whether any Republican members would oppose what he described as “cruelty.”
Later that day, Levin commented on Attorney General Pam Bondi’s alleged connections with Qatar and former President Trump. He tweeted “Don’t forget: Attorney General Pam Bondi was paid as a lobbyist by Qatar.” He criticized Bondi’s actions related to a $400 million transaction involving Qatar.
In another post from May 13, Rep. Levin offered advice to his Republican colleagues regarding voting strategies. He remarked “Some advice for my Republican colleagues.” suggesting that opposing investments in their own districts might not be prudent.
Mike Levin graduated from Stanford University with a BA and earned a JD from Duke University in 2005.
