Rep. Mike Levin, who represents California’s 49th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on March 15, 2026, addressing issues ranging from health insurance premiums to military policy and government transparency.
In his first tweet of the day, Levin wrote: “Families across CA-49 and America are watching their health insurance premiums skyrocket, not because it had to happen, but because Washington Republicans made a choice. Later that day, Levin commented on U.S. military conduct and recent changes in Pentagon staffing: “We don’t target civilians. Instead of reaffirming that, Hegseth slashed the Pentagon team responsible for preventing civilian casualties in the Middle East from ten people down to one. https://t.co/SOuc6cerch” (March 15, 2026).
In a subsequent post about government transparency and the release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, Levin stated: “This Administration’s COVER UP does not end. Congress passed a law requiring full transparency, and it has been violated time and time again by” (March 15, 2026).
Levin has served as a member of Congress since replacing Darrell Issa in 2019 and currently resides in San Juan Capistrano. Born in Inglewood in 1978, he holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Duke University (JD).
