Rep. Mike Levin, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 49th district since 2019, has recently criticized Congressional Republicans for their absence from legislative work in a series of posts on social media.
On October 20, 2025, Levin posted: “It’s been a month since Congressional Republicans last showed up to work! They won’t negotiate nor will they open the people’s House. It’s a disgrace.”
In addition to this statement, Levin shared two other posts on October 18 and October 20 that included links but no accompanying text: https://t.co/J7XNXpIPHZ (October 18) and https://t.co/FpDg2lWYxz (October 20).
Levin, who succeeded Darrell Issa in Congress in 2019, was born in Inglewood, California in 1978 and currently resides in San Juan Capistrano. He holds degrees from Stanford University and Duke University.
