Rep. Mike Levin, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 49th district since 2019, has used his social media platform to criticize recent federal actions and public figures.
On March 31, 2026, Levin posted: “Wake UP. The Attorney General of the United States just went on national television to say that being a citizen is a privilege, not a right. She went to law school. She presumably knows what the 14th Amendment says: if you are born on American soil, you are a citizen. This is a https://t.co/6xwrTsZ3Vb”.
Later that day, Levin addressed an executive order by former President Donald Trump: “Today, Trump signed an executive order that would let the federal government determine who is allowed to vote by mail, block ballots from reaching voters not on a Washington-approved list, and punish any state that pushes back. This is unconstitutional in every direction. States”.
On April 1, 2026, Levin commented on Pete Hegseth’s role in public service: “Pete Hegseth was ‘born for this role’? Are you kidding me?! If anything, he was born to show the American people what incompetence looks like at the highest levels. It’s long past time he resigns. https://t.co/FhqubLEjKB”.
Levin was born in Inglewood, California in 1978 and currently resides in San Juan Capistrano. He graduated from Stanford University with a BA in 2001 and earned his JD from Duke University in 2005.
