Rep. Mike Levin, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 49th district since 2019, announced a telephone town hall and issued an advisory regarding tsunami warnings in Orange and San Diego Counties through posts on his official Twitter account.
On July 30, 2025, Levin invited constituents to participate in a virtual event, stating: “Join me at my telephone town hall this Wednesday, July 30! I’ll be answering your questions and providing updates on the Republican budget bill, bipartisan immigration reform efforts, veterans’ health care access, and more. RSVP using the link below.” The post included a link for RSVPs. A follow-up tweet posted moments later simply shared another link: “https://t.co/msU7oACy7S”.
Later that evening, Levin addressed public safety concerns related to natural disasters affecting his district: “My office is monitoring the tsunami advisory in Orange and San Diego Counties. If you’re in the area: keep your phone close to stay informed and follow the instructions of local emergency officials.”
Levin has represented California’s 49th Congressional District since replacing Darrell Issa in 2019. He was born in Inglewood, California in 1978 and currently resides in San Juan Capistrano. Levin holds a BA from Stanford University (2001) and a JD from Duke University (2005).
