Rep. Mike Levin, who represents California’s 49th district in the U.S. Congress, addressed several topics in a series of posts on his official Twitter account between February 14 and 15, 2026.
On February 14, Levin commented on legal accountability for public officials, stating: “Just a reminder for Pam Bondi: lying under oath is a felony punishable by up to FIVE YEARS in prison.”
The following day, he discussed energy policy and partisan divisions in Washington. On February 15, Levin wrote: “You know why the American people trust Democrats to bring down their energy costs?
Because Washington Republicans are doing everything possible to make sure they don’t go down.
They’ve had a year to fix it and they’ve only made the problem worse.”
Later that same day, Levin reflected on Black History Month and its significance in American society. He posted: “Black history is American history.
From the fight for civil rights to innovations that shaped our economy, from the music that defines our culture to the movements that expanded our democracy, Black Americans have driven this country toward its highest ideals.”
Levin has served as a member of Congress since 2019 after succeeding Darrell Issa. He was born in Inglewood, California in 1978 and currently resides in San Juan Capistrano. Levin holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Duke University (JD).
