Rep. Mike Levin, who represents California’s 49th district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to address issues ranging from labor rights to congressional ethics and clean energy policy.

On September 1, 2025, Levin posted a message for Labor Day: “This Labor Day, we honor the workers who fight for fair wages and safe conditions—and the union members whose strength and solidarity are the backbone of America’s progress and prosperity.”

The following day, September 2, 2025, Levin reiterated his stance on congressional stock trading: “I continue to support a STOCK TRADING BAN because members of Congress should represent their constituents, not their own financial self-interests.”

On September 3, 2025, he addressed energy policy: “I’ll never stop fighting to protect funding for clean energy on public lands. Republicans have boosted oil, gas, and coal instead—handing the clean energy future to China and driving up costs for American families.”

Levin has represented California’s 49th District since 2019 after succeeding Darrell Issa. He was born in Inglewood in 1978 and resides in San Juan Capistrano. Levin holds a BA from Stanford University (2001) and a JD from Duke University (2005).
