Rep. Mike Levin, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 49th district since 2019, recently addressed immigration and community issues in a series of posts on social media.
On August 23, 2025, Levin wrote, “I commend the City of Encinitas for responding swiftly and unanimously after the events of the past week. The City Council voted to launch a bilingual Know Your Rights campaign, to file a Freedom of Information Act request on ICE operations, to examine establishing safe zones at”. In a follow-up post on the same day, he stated, “I will continue working to ensure that immigration enforcement follows the law, respects communities, and keeps the focus where it belongs: on genuine threats, in order to protect national security and public safety.”
Levin also highlighted his engagement with constituents in another update. On August 24, 2025, he posted about a recent event: “Great crowd in Laguna Niguel for my town hall. It was a privilege to share updates on my work to lower costs and a preview of what’s next in Washington.
Thank you to our special guests from Covered California, Orange County United Way, Providence Health, and Troop 113 for your”.
Levin has represented California’s 49th District since replacing Darrell Issa in 2019. Born in Inglewood in 1978 and now residing in San Juan Capistrano, Levin is an alumnus of Stanford University (BA) and Duke University (JD).
