Rep. Mike Levin, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 49th district since 2019, posted a series of comments on his official social media account between March 20 and March 21, 2026, addressing topics including the House Oversight Committee’s handling of testimony related to the Epstein files, military deployments to the Middle East, and economic policy under former President Donald Trump.
On March 20, Levin criticized the manner in which Pam Bondi appeared before Congress regarding the Epstein investigation. He wrote: “ICYMI: Pam Bondi was subpoenaed to testify under oath about the Epstein files, but instead of doing that, she showed up this week for a closed-door “briefing” with the House Oversight Committee that was a sham from start to finish.
She wasn’t under oath, no cameras were” (March 20, 2026).
Later that day, Levin reported on recent U.S. military movements: “More than 2,500 Camp Pendleton Marines just departed for the Middle East. They follow another 2,500 who left just days earlier from Okinawa. Five thousand of the most capable, disciplined, and professional fighting men and women on earth, heading toward a war that started with no” (March 20, 2026).
The following morning on March 21, Levin commented on former President Trump’s economic policies: “Here’s the loop Trump created: his tariffs drive up inflation, rising inflation prevents the Fed from cutting interest rates, and then he screams at the Fed for not cutting interest rates.

Levin has served as congressman for California’s coastal North County San Diego and South Orange County region since replacing Darrell Issa in January 2019. Born in Inglewood in 1978 and currently residing in San Juan Capistrano at age 44, Levin holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Duke University School of Law (JD).
