On April 20, he extended Easter wishes, saying, “Happy Easter, from my kin pack to yours!”
In a subsequent post on April 23, Congressman Ruiz described an engaging week with his constituents, writing, “What an incredible town hall tour. This past week, I had the honor of meeting hundreds of you from across the district. From @Beaumontgov to @CityofIndio to @CityofElCentro, thank you for showing up with energy and heart. The work continues, and I’m proud to keep fighting for…”
Later that same day, he expressed dissatisfaction about a significant economic development. Congressman Ruiz, 50, who was born in Zacatecas City, Mexico, represents a diverse constituency. He has been in office since 2013 after succeeding Mary Bono. Ruiz, a former student of the University of California, Los Angeles and Harvard University, is known for his dedication to community issues in Indio, where he resides.
