Mike Levin released the following statement in response to the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) announcement for new rules limiting carbon pollution from fossil fuel-fired power plants under its authority from Section 111 of the Clean Air Act. In a March 2023 letter, Reps. Matsui, Quigley, Tonko, and Levin, along with 53 of their colleagues, urged EPA Administrator Michael Regan to propose strong limits under Section 111 and to finalize them by March 2024.
