Rep. Mike Levin, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 49th district since 2019, used his social media account on March 20, 2026, to address several national political issues and criticize actions by both the Trump Administration and Washington Republicans.
In a post at 16:12 UTC, Levin commented on ongoing legislative efforts concerning Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents’ pay. He wrote, “TSA agents should be getting paid TODAY. Democrats are trying to pass legislation that would make that happen, but Washington Republicans are blocking it. Why? So they can write yet another blank check for ICE, an out-of-control agency operating with zero accountability.”
Later that day at 18:27 UTC, Levin addressed election integrity in California and accused the President of spreading misinformation about voting procedures. He stated, “The President of the United States can’t stop lying to the American people. Every registered voter in California gets one ballot. Not 7. Not 8. ONE. This is a man who has spent years deliberately lying about our elections because he needs you to doubt them. He needs you to lose”.
At 20:07 UTC on the same day, Levin criticized the Trump Administration’s energy policy and highlighted legal action against an oil company involved in offshore drilling near California’s coast: “The Trump Administration isn’t just trying to hand California’s coast over to Big Oil. It’s handing it to an oil company that has already proven it will break the law to get what it wants. Sable Offshore is facing criminal charges filed by the Santa Barbara District Attorney.”
Levin has represented California’s 49th District since replacing Darrell Issa in Congress in 2019 and resides in San Juan Capistrano after being born in Inglewood in 1978.
He holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Duke University (JD).
