Rep. Mike Levin, who represents California’s 49th district in the U.S. Congress, shared several updates on his recent activities and initiatives through a series of tweets on May 15, 2025.
In a tweet from May 15, 2025, Levin addressed an issue regarding veterans’ services by stating, “Today, I asked VA Secretary Collins to promise our veterans that when they call VA, they will be able to talk to a REAL HUMAN BEING. This should not be controversial.”
On the same day, at a later time as noted in another tweet from May 15, 2025, Levin mentioned his participation in an annual event: “Every year, my staff and I run in the annual Capital Challenge 3-mile race. Great time with a great team!”
Additionally, Levin provided insight into his ongoing legislative efforts related to national security. In a post made on May 15, 2025, he stated: “Throughout my time in Congress, I’ve been working on making our borders more secure – including our maritime borders. I recently announced a request for $60 million to fund autonomous surveillance towers, which will help detect and intercept smugglers.”
Born in Inglewood, California in 1978 and currently residing in San Juan Capistrano, Rep. Mike Levin has served since replacing Darrell Issa in Congress in 2019. He holds degrees from Stanford University and Duke University.
