On May 7, 2025, Rep. Levin announced that “Real ID is now in effect.” He provided a link for constituents to learn more about its implications for travel and access to federal facilities.
Later that day, Levin expressed his opposition to proposed budget cuts by President Trump. He stated his commitment to oppose these reductions by asserting that “Congress, not the President, has authority over this funding.”
Continuing his critique of the administration’s policies, on May 8, 2025, Levin criticized cuts to veterans’ mental health care. He described these actions as a betrayal of those who have served the nation and emphasized that “Our vets deserve better.”
Rep. Mike Levin was born in Inglewood, California in 1978 and currently resides in San Juan Capistrano. He holds a BA from Stanford University and a JD from Duke University.
