Rep. Mike Levin, who represents California’s 49th district in the U.S. Congress, used social media to address concerns about health insurance affordability and a local military anniversary event.

Later that day, he posted another message referencing communications from Covered California: “As Covered California letters hit mailboxes alerting insured individuals of drastic price hikes to their health insurance, remember that instead of coming back to D.C. to work on this issue, House Republicans disappeared.” This statement was made as notices regarding possible premium increases were sent out to policyholders.
On October 18, Levin acknowledged a significant historical event: “The 250th anniversary of the United States Marine Corps is an extraordinary milestone. It should unite us in pride and gratitude.
Unfortunately, reports confirming that artillery will be fired over Interstate 5 — requiring full freeway and rail closures — have caused” The post references planned celebrations for the Marine Corps’ anniversary involving artillery fire and associated transportation disruptions.
