The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2025 in San Diego County , while total sales increased by 21.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2025, 2,541 homes were sold in the county, with sale prices averaging $880,000. This is a 3.6% decrease from the $912,500 median sale price during the same period in 2024, when there were 2,088 homes sold.

Based on the latest available data from 2024, the median property tax in San Diego County was $5,862, which stands at 0.7% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2025.

U.S. home prices continued to rise in 2025, with the national median reaching about $447,000 in June. That’s up 1.13% from a year earlier, according to Redfin. The data also show a significant gap in supply and demand, with 36% more sellers than buyers (a difference of 508,715 homes). By Redfin’s definition, a balanced market has seller and buyer numbers within 10% of each other.
