MiraCosta College maintained its in-state tuition fees for the 2022-23 school year, as revealed in the most recent disclosure, according to the latest disclosure from the National Center for Education Statistics.

California residents paid $1,152 to attend the public four-year institution in both the 2021-22 and 2022-23 academic years.

Non-resident students faced tuition costs 633.3% higher than residents in 2022-23, amounting to $8,448. This represented a slight decrease of 0.8% from the $8,520 charged in 2021-22.

Approximately 94% of the undergraduate student body at MiraCosta College are California residents, while international students make up about 3%.

Meanwhile, student loan debt has steadily increased over the last 30 years, reaching $1.75 trillion in 2024, averaging a total of $28,950 per borrower. Federal loans make up 92% of the debt, with over half of students at both public and private four-year colleges graduating with student loans.
