Following the first event in Indio on December 6, Ruiz updated his followers: “Veterans University in Indio just wrapped! Another one in Brawley to go! It was an incredible day spent learning and connecting with resources for veterans and their families.

Ruiz has represented California’s 25th District since 2013 after succeeding Mary Bono. He was born in Zacatecas City, Mexico in 1972 and now resides in Indio. His educational background includes degrees from UCLA (BS) and Harvard University.
