Following the event on December 9, Ruiz shared its outcomes: “Veterans University in Brawley was incredible! Between Indio and Brawley, we were able to assist over 300 veterans. On December 10, he reiterated his commitment by writing: “I held the 7th Annual Veterans University in Brawley because I am committed to bringing resources to veterans and their families in California’s 25th Congressional District. Ruiz has represented California’s 25th district since replacing Mary Bono in Congress in 2013. He is known for prioritizing constituent services such as veteran outreach events. Born in Zacatecas City, Mexico in 1972, Ruiz currently resides in Indio. He holds degrees from UCLA (BS) and Harvard University.
