He stated, “It’s 4:05 AM, and we’re hearing over and over from Republicans that this bill will not cut benefits. Not true.” He further explained that reducing federal funding and imposing restrictions on Medicaid could create administrative burdens for beneficiaries.
Later that day, at 3:00 PM, he provided an update on the lengthy session with a tweet indicating the duration of their efforts. He wrote, “20 hours in… In need of a shower.” This tweet highlights the extended hours involved in legislative work.
