Congressman Raul Ruiz, M.D., representing California’s 25th district, used his Twitter account on February 25, 2026, to sharply criticize former President Donald Trump in a series of posts addressing presidential responsibilities and actions towards immigrants.

In the first post at 03:08 UTC, Ruiz stated, “The first duty of the American President is to protect the American people. Trump has failed like no other President in history. #SOTU”

Minutes later, Ruiz continued his critique by directly addressing Trump: “No Trump, YOU should be ashamed of yourself for unleashing the brutality and violence on noncriminal immigrants and U.S. Citizens. You are endangering the safety of Americans across the country! #SOTU”

In a third tweet posted at 03:11 UTC, Ruiz added further accusations: “No Trump, YOU should be ashamed of YOURSELF for being a convicted sex offender, an Epstein enabler, and for unleashing the brutality and violence on noncriminal immigrants and U.S. Citizens including the killing of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. You are endangering the safety of”

Raul Ruiz has served in Congress since 2013 after replacing Mary Bono as representative for California’s 25th district. Born in Zacatecas City, Mexico in 1972 and now residing in Indio, Ruiz earned degrees from both UCLA and Harvard University.
